RETURN POLICY

At Shere Kalyan Books Depot, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We follow the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 and RBI guidelines for fair returns.

Eligible Returns

  • Returns accepted only for:
    • Defective, damaged, or wrong item received
    • Change of mind (only if item is unused & in original condition)
  • Return request must be raised within 7 days of delivery date.
  • Item must be unused, in original packaging with all tags, invoice, and accessories.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Sale/discounted items
  • Personalized/custom books
  • Digital/e-books or downloaded content
  • Perishable items (if any)

Return Process

  1. Email us at contact@kalyanbookdepot.com with your Order ID, photos of the issue (if defective), and reason.
  2. We verify the request within 2–3 working days and provide return instructions.
  3. Pack the item securely and ship it back (use any reliable courier).

Shipping Charges for Returns

  • For defective/damaged/wrong item: We reimburse return shipping (provide proof of cost).
  • For change of mind: Customer bears return shipping charges.

Refund

  • Once we receive and verify the returned item (usually 3–5 days), refund is processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days (as per RBI guidelines).
  • Deductions: Payment gateway fees (if any) + original shipping (for change of mind returns).
  • No cash refunds. In case of delay, penal interest applies as per RBI rules.
